Remedy Entertainment announced this control resonator Will launch on September 24, 2026 with a new trailer revealed in PlayStation State of Play.
The Standard Edition will cost $59.99, which is currently $10 less than the typical $69.99 price for many AAA releases. A digital deluxe edition will also be available for $69.99.
Control is the sequel to Resonant Remedy’s 2019 action game Control. In this installment, players take on the role of Dylan Faden, brother of original protagonist Jesse Faden, as they work to stop a supernatural threat that has taken over Manhattan.
Editions, pricing, and early access of PlayStation 5
Available versions include:
- The standard edition is priced at $59.99,
- Digital Deluxe Edition at $69.99 which offers additional in-game items,
- PlayStation Digital Deluxe Edition that offers 48 hours of early access exclusively for the PS5.
This early access is only available to PS5 owners. Players on Xbox and PC will be able to start playing on the standard release date of September 24th.

Control Resonant has been described by Remedy’s Chief Commercial Officer Johannes Palohimo as the studio’s “most detailed game to date”. Remedy is self-publishing the title, with marketing planned around the Summer Game Fest and events leading up to the summer release on September 24th.
A hands-off preview in March highlighted the game’s fast-paced combat. The game shares a universe with Alan Wake 2 and may continue some of those story elements, although the extent of the connections has not been detailed.
Remedy is working on remakes of the first two Max Payne games in collaboration with Rockstar Games, with additional details to be announced at a later date. Control Resonant was revealed during the June 2026 PlayStation State of Play, which also included the announcement of God of War Lofi and other titles.
Control Resonant is set to launch on September 24, 2026 for PS5, Xbox, and PC. Remedy has not yet provided full details on pre-order options or regional pricing.
